Important: We have received reports of phishing scams targeting permit and license holders in Brookline. This is part of a nationwide scam where fraudsters use specific application details (such as upcoming meeting dates) to make their emails look legitimate, demanding immediate payment via wire transfer. These scam emails are not being sent from a Town of Brookline email or by one of our vendor/partners email.
The Town of Brookline only conducts business and accepts permit/license payments through Accela or in person via check. We will never ask you to pay fees via wire transfer.
Online Payment Information
The Town of Brookline offers residents an easy and convenient method to pay for permit and license records online.
This is a fee based service. The convenience fee for the online bill payment is assessed by the 3rd party merchant. The fee to use a credit / debit card is 2.95% of the transaction with a $ 2.00 minimum fee. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. To use an E- Check the fee is $ 0.50. Two separate charges will appear on your credit card or checking account statement. One charge will represent your bill payment and the other charge will represent your transaction fee. Due to banking regulations, we can only accept U. S. credit cards, debit cards and checking accounts excluding Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Any applicants that have payments returned due to insufficient funds will be assessed a fee of $25.00 or 1% of the payment whichever is greater.
In order to avoid interest or penalties, please process your payment prior to the close of business on the due date.
