SUBMIT FOR AN EXPRESS PERMIT ONLINE
- We are excited to offer online permit submittals for express permits. These permit types will no longer be accepted via email. To begin, register for an account in the right hand column under "New Users". From there you will be able to submit the necessary information and document for your permit to be issued electronically via email.
Step by Step Guide to Submit an Application Using the Citizen Portal
Permit types accepted online include:
- Construction Fence
- CCCD w/o Fire Suppression
- Electrical - Excluding Solar, Generators or EV Chargers
- Electrical - Temporary
- Fence (allow five business days for the required zoning review to be completed)
- HVAC - Furnace, Boilers, A/C Replacement
- Interior Drain Tile
- Plumbing (Excluding New Service)
- Roofing
- Siding and Gutters
- Tuckpointing/Masonry
- Window/Door Replacement
Once an application is submitted, the status can then be tracked when logged into your account. When the permit is ready to be issued, an email will be sent with the invoice and the link to pay. Once paid, your permit will be sent via email within 24 hours.
PERMITS IN NEED OF REVIEW
Starting October 4, 2021, all permits must be submitted online using the Building Permit Application and will no longer be accepted via email.

CONTRACTOR REGISTRATIONS
When a contractor currently registers using the Citizen Portal it is simply to submit express permit applications. At this time, it will not be linked to your Contractor Registration number and you will not be able to apply for a new registration or renew online. This feature will be coming in the future.
