Project Description: | This project proposes to establish a new shellfish farm to cultivate Manila clams (Venerupis philippinarum), Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas), and Olympia oysters (Ostrea lurida) on 2.4 acres of intertidal land. Clams will be cultivated in the natural substrate at tidal elevations between approximately +5.0 feet and -2.0 feet mean lower low water (MLLW). Oysters will be grown in on-bottom bags at tidal elevations between ;approximately +2.0 and -2.0 feet MLLW. |
