You can apply for a zoning clearance or letter of determination without registering an account.

To apply for all other permits, you need to register an account here if you have not.

As soon as you finish registration, you will receive an email from auto_sender@accela.com.

Follow the instruction in that email and provide the required documents based on your role. Please provide below required documents to pbdaccelaregistration@oakland.gov

After receiving and verifying documents, staff will activate your account within 1 - 3 business days. You will receive a confirmation email from support@accela.com.

• Contractor's Declaration
• Copy of Contractor License
• Copy of City of Oakland Business License

Owner/Builders

• Owner-Builder User Agreement
• Copy of Recorded Grand Deed
