Pasco County Telephone Scam Alert

Caller impersonating county employee/Requesting credit card information.

Pasco County Building Construction Services wants to warn the community about what appears to be a telephone scam.

Someone is calling our customers saying they are a member of Pasco County's Permitting team and that as part of the county's permitting software update, they need to confirm the customer's credit card information. Pasco County Building Construction Services does NOT take credit card payments over the phone, and we will NEVER ask for a credit card number over the phone. The county has received at least two calls from customers alerting us to this scam.

If you receive a call like this, please do not provide any personal or banking information. Hang up and report the call to the Pasco Sheriff's Office, by calling Pasco's non-emergency line at 727.847.8102, option 7.

Effective Feb 1, 2023, we have a new procedure for private providers. Visit our website for detailed instructions.
